The City Service Administration has an important and exciting mission to deliver, coordinate, and develop services for residents and administrations in Mölndal City. The administration has about 550 employees and is organized into four operational areas: meals and cleaning, water and recycling, city maintenance, and support and customer service.

The City Maintenance department has about 150 employees who manage the operation, maintenance, and development of the municipality's public environments. We are responsible for properties, streets, parks, and green areas as well as other indoor and outdoor spaces. Through our work, we contribute to a clean, safe, and pleasant city for residents and visitors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for construction workers who want to help develop the city.

As a construction worker with us, you will work on many different tasks. The work includes excavation and adjustment work, curb work, paving and stone setting, installation and repair of stormwater drains, grate cleaning, and bridge maintenance. We also perform some smaller construction jobs in-house.

During the winter months, we work a lot with winter road maintenance in the city.

We work in teams where we all help each other, and together we have many years of experience in street maintenance and construction.

The position involves working with smaller construction machines, such as wheel loaders and dumpers.

On-call duty may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a park or construction technical education or other experience that we consider equivalent. You have both practical and theoretical knowledge in the field and are used to working with a strong customer focus. Experience with construction machinery and/or stone setting is an advantage.

Knowledge and/or training in occupational safety and work on roads (level 12) is also an advantage.

You work independently and take responsibility, but you also enjoy working in a team and have good collaboration skills. You are a driven and responsible person who takes initiative and sees what needs to be done. You meet others in a positive and respectful manner and contribute to a good working environment.

Since the work can be physically demanding, you need to be in good physical condition and enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions.

A driver's license (B) is required, and a C driver's license is an advantage.
