Viksjöskolan is a municipal school for grades 7-9 with about 680 students starting in the fall. Our school has good resources such as special educators, social pedagogues, school psychologists, counselors, school nurses, study and career advisors, and IT technicians. All students have access to their own Chromebook.

As a new employee at Viksjöskolan, you will have a mentor during your first academic year. You will also have many colleagues who collaborate and challenge each other. Additionally, you will receive ongoing professional development throughout the year.

Our two art classrooms are bright with a northern exposure, spacious, flexible, and well-equipped.

Viksjöskolan has its own kitchen that serves food appreciated by both students and staff, offering three daily dishes along with a variety of vegetables and often freshly baked bread.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a substitute for one of our art teachers. The position includes teaching art to students in grades 7-9. You will collaborate and plan lessons together with a fellow art teacher. All positions also include mentorship.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with good leadership skills, an ability to collaborate easily, and a strong capacity to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, as well as someone who values developing together with others. You should also have good knowledge of Swedish and a Swedish teaching license with the qualification to teach art at the secondary level.
