Welcome to Us

The City of Stockholm aims to be a safe, secure, and pleasant city for residents and visitors.

Together with local property owners and other stakeholders within the City of Stockholm, we work to ensure that Sergels Torg and the Klara area are places where people enjoy being. We do this by adding temporary gathering spaces, art, culture, and events for everyone to enjoy. We also collaborate with the police, security guards, outreach social services, and field assistants to reduce crime and increase safety.

In the summer, we activate Sergels Torg by creating a space for rest and play among plants and art in our "popup park." We conduct games, learning, and workshops, with and for our visitors.

We are now looking for educators who will engage with our visitors at Sergels Torg and conduct creative workshops in our popup park during the spring and summer.

Your Role

Implementing activities at the square will involve many contacts and a lot of interaction with visitors. The work will also include some physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and assembling furniture. So it’s beneficial if you enjoy practical and physical aspects of the job. The assignment also includes mentoring youth workers who will work alongside you at the square during certain weeks. We also pitch in and support during certain events when we need to have many people at the square.

Your Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who is currently training to become an educator with a focus on pedagogy, art, crafts, or equivalent qualifications. It is an advantage if you have worked with children and youth, know various craft techniques, and enjoy working with collaborative initiatives.

As a person, we wish for you to be self-sufficient, structured, and confident in yourself, have an easy time collaborating, and understand the importance of good hospitality.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability, commitment, and motivation for the position.

Other

The work will take place between April 15 and September 20.

Your working hours are weekdays from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, but weekend work may also occur.

Please indicate in your application if you can work the entire period or parts of it. Part-time work is also of interest. Please also specify any desired vacation periods.
