At the Education Administration in Järfälla Municipality, around 3,100 employees work in one of our 39 preschools, 22 schools, high school, adult education, and central administration. Viksjöskolan is a municipal school for grades 7-9 with approximately 680 students starting this autumn. We also offer instruction in modern languages and home economics for students in grade 6 from two nearby schools. Our school has good resources such as special educators, social educators, school psychologists, counselors, school nurses, study and career counselors, and IT technicians. All students have access to their own Chromebook.

As a new employee at Viksjöskolan, you will have a mentor during your first school year. You will also have many colleagues who collaborate and challenge each other. Additionally, you will receive ongoing professional development throughout the year.

Viksjöskolan has its own kitchen that prepares meals appreciated by both students and staff, serving three dishes daily along with a variety of vegetables and often freshly baked bread.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Teacher in home economics for students in grade 6. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with three subject colleagues, even if they teach in other grades. The position also includes teaching Spanish in a couple of grades in the upper secondary school, as well as mentorship for a class together with a co-mentor.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with good leadership skills, ease in collaboration, and the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and who also finds it important to develop together with others. You also need to have good knowledge of Swedish, as well as a Swedish teaching license with qualifications in home economics and Spanish.
