Montessori School Globen is now seeking one to two leisure teachers who love working with children and young people and want to help develop our leisure activities. Are you an engaged teacher who is passionate about creating creative learning environments, both outdoors and indoors, where children can develop their own thinking and learning? About Montessori School Globen:

Montessori School Globen is a school with a strong community where we work to provide each student with the best conditions for development. The leisure activities are an important part of our educational work, and we are now looking for leisure teachers who want to help develop it. We are in the process of renewing our schoolyard, and you will have the opportunity to influence and create outdoor educational activities for the students. Additionally, we are strongly focused on creating creative learning environments indoors to give children the opportunity to develop in their own learning and thinking.

Your responsibilities:

As a leisure teacher at Montessori School Globen, you will:

● Work to create and lead activities that support children's development according to the curriculum.

● Actively participate in the development and creation of creative learning environments, both outdoors and indoors, that promote children's own thinking and learning.

● Plan and implement activities that promote both physical and cognitive development for children, with a particular focus on outdoor education.

● Work closely with other educators and school staff to ensure a coherent connection between school and leisure, where continuity and overlap are prioritized.

● Be a relationship-building and flexible adult for the children, who sees solutions to the challenges that may arise in everyday life.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

● Has a teaching license in leisure education or equivalent education.

● Is passionate about working with children and young people and creating safe, inspiring, and developmental environments.

● Is relational, flexible, and solution-focused, and thrives in an environment where you can create and adapt learning to meet children's needs.

● Is creative and committed to developing both indoor and outdoor environments that promote children's learning and thinking.

● Understands the importance of a strong and clear connection between school and leisure, and has experience working for good continuity between these activities.
