Welcome to Norberg

You are welcome to Norberg, the small municipality with a big heart. Our operations reflect a strong commitment among employees, short decision-making paths, and community. If you want to be part of this, you are warmly welcome.

About the position

The adapted primary school in Norberg is growing, and in the fall we will have three classes in our operation. We are therefore looking for a class teacher for our lower-middle stage group and a class teacher for our middle-high stage group. We are looking for someone who wants to help develop our operations!

The preschools and schools in Norberg share a common vision: “It depends on me, and I can do something about it. I, we, together in lifelong learning.”

The position and responsibilities

You will, together with other colleagues, plan, implement, and evaluate the pedagogical teaching. You will work closely and in a team with educators and teaching assistants working within the adapted primary school.

You will work with your colleagues based on low-arousal responses and various communication tools. You will use digital tools as a natural part of your teaching.

Qualifications

You are a licensed special teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities or a preschool/teacher who is willing to study further to become a special teacher. You are structured and accustomed to documenting. You need to have knowledge of and be able to manage individuals with various NPF diagnoses and intellectual variations.

In your role as a special teacher, it is important that you are calm, secure, stable, and have the students and their achievement in focus. In the classroom, you have clear leadership where you can also convey your expectations of the students in a good way. It is important that you have good collaboration skills, where you listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively.

You are expected to have good IT skills to be part of the school's ongoing digital journey; otherwise, you are curious and driven in the development of the operations. Experience with TAKK is an advantage.

Other

The positions may be filled during the ongoing recruitment process.

For those offered employment with us, a background check is required according to the Law on Background Checks, an extract from the National Police Board's criminal record.

In addition to a developing and stimulating job with wonderful colleagues, you will have access to various benefits, such as wellness grants, the opportunity to donate blood during paid work hours, and a bike benefit.

Norberg Municipality has a smoke-free working time.
