Committed Teacher for After-School Care Needed at Mariefreds School

We are now looking for a committed teacher for after-school care at Mariefreds School.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of teacher for after-school care, you will work with students in grades F3 and collaborate with teachers and after-school educators to create a cohesive and developing school day. During the school day and after-school activities, you will plan, implement, and evaluate activities based on applicable governing documents together with the after-school team.

You will work on the premise that after-school care is part of the education and connect to the school's themes and focus areas, being responsible for the students' social development, safety, and activities during breaks, as well as conducting fun and educational activities outdoors and indoors with the students. You will create trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and actively participate in the school's systematic quality work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has/is:

  • licensed teacher for after-school care,
  • qualified in one or more practical-aesthetic subjects,
  • experience working as a teacher in after-school care,
  • knowledge of Lgr22,
  • good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

  • knowledge of adapting responses and teaching for students with NPF diagnoses.
  • experience leading and being responsible for the educational work within after-school care, both at the group and individual level.
  • experience actively driving the development and quality work of after-school care forward.

To succeed in this role, you need to be able to take initiative and see what needs to be done without waiting for instructions. You come with new ideas and actively contribute to the development of the organization. You are flexible and adapt to the needs of the organization, supporting and helping where needed. As a person, you are self-assured and remain calm in challenging situations to create a safe environment for both students and colleagues. You have good collaboration skills and build strong relationships with both students, guardians, and colleagues. Creating and nurturing relationships is a natural part of your work, and you see the value in building a positive and inclusive environment.
