Slottsskolan 7-9 is Vingåker's only secondary school and is centrally located in the municipality. The school has approximately 230 students distributed across four classes per grade level, as well as special education groups. We work in three teams consisting of dedicated teachers, special educators, and teaching assistants to create the best possible conditions for students' learning and development.

The school was inaugurated in January 2020 and is built to meet the needs of both students and teachers. There are modern facilities with smart technical solutions that promote innovative and effective learning. Each room and subject area is tailored to the specific needs of the subject, providing you as a teacher with the best conditions to conduct your teaching.

At Slottsskolan 7-9, we have small groups with about 18 students per class. This creates conditions that allow you as a teacher to work in a more effective and individualized manner. With so few students, you gain a better overview and can more easily follow each student's development and needs. This leads to more effective teaching and a conducive learning environment, as less time is spent creating order in the classroom, allowing you to dedicate more time to actual teaching. You will also have the opportunity to use more varied and interactive teaching methods, adapting your approaches to each student's needs. Additionally, fewer students often mean reduced workload, with fewer tests and assignments to grade and fewer individual student matters to handle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher at Slottsskolan 7-9, you will be part of a dynamic team where teaching is constantly developed through collegial learning. We work both within subjects and across subject boundaries to improve our methods. Your role also includes mentoring a group of students together with a colleague.

We are now looking for a teacher in wood and metal crafts who wants to help develop the teaching at our school. We work student-centered and idea-driven to give each student the best possible conditions to succeed in their learning.

As a wood and metal crafts teacher, you will:

• Plan, execute, and evaluate your teaching.
• Support and inspire students in the subject to develop their skills in craftsmanship.
• Help students understand the connection between theoretical and practical aspects of the subject.
• Work in modern and well-equipped facilities with the latest technology to support students' development.

Together with your colleagues, you will develop and adapt the teaching to ensure that all students achieve their goals. You will lead the pedagogical work in accordance with the curriculum's guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher with qualifications to teach wood and metal crafts at the secondary level.
• Has current work experience from teaching at the secondary level.
• Has the ability to create a safe and respectful learning environment where students feel involved and motivated to develop.
• Is engaged, responsive, and has a good ability to adapt your teaching to students' individual needs and conditions.

As a person, we see that you have a positive attitude and are solution-oriented, with the ability to see opportunities even in challenging situations. You are a good communicator and collaborate well with both students and colleagues. You are open to feedback and reflection to continuously develop as an educator. Building meaningful relationships and establishing trust with students is a natural part of who you are, and you follow up and evaluate the quality of teaching based on students' results and research-based methods. Furthermore, we are looking for someone who is structured and organizes their work effectively. We highly value personal suitability and prefer that you are an engaged and responsible educator who enjoys working in a team and contributes to a positive and developing work environment for both students and colleagues.

To work with youth, a clean criminal record check is required. The position is available pending necessary decisions.
