As a unit manager within the Department of Children and Families, you will lead a socially important unit focused on processing temporary parental benefits. With engaged and sustainable leadership in a changing environment, you will have the opportunity to make a difference. Close leadership, change, sustainable workplace
As a unit manager, you are the leader closest to the employees and the operation. You are responsible for leading and driving the daily work based on the department's mission and goals, where the state value base permeates your work. Through your leadership, you convey clear expectations, follow up on goals, and provide your employees with the right conditions to take their responsibility. You have personnel responsibility as well as responsibility for results and follow-up for the teams in your unit.
Your unit consists of about 20 employees who work as case officers for temporary parental benefits and are located in Jönköping. Through close leadership, you create the predictability, security, and sustainability necessary for employees to take their responsibility and meet the need for change. You create an understanding of the context, direction, and the goals set by the department and develop the plans your operation needs. You adapt and exercise your leadership in a way that creates conditions for employees to use their judgment and competence.
As a unit manager, you support the area manager and are part of the area's management team, which, in addition to the area manager, consists of 10 unit managers and a controller. Here, you contribute your expertise and engagement to develop the operation.
The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high security awareness.

- have a good understanding of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's mission
- have experience in competency-based recruitment.
