The goal is to build a unit that can support our schools during new hires, between employments, or when other needs arise. In your role as a distance vocational teacher, you need to be flexible and solution-oriented and be willing to try new working methods. You must be comfortable teaching via Teams and be an expert in engaging and involving our students. If you can create an interactive teaching session through the screen, you have succeeded.

The position mainly involves teaching theoretical content and exercises aimed at course goals corresponding to vocational courses at the upper secondary level. Where practical components must be carried out, you need to be able to travel to the school that needs support. The schools are primarily located throughout southern Sweden but are spread from Kalmar and Stockholm in the east to Halmstad and Gothenburg in the west, as well as Malmö in the south and Karlstad in the north, along with several schools in between.

An important part of the assignment is to build the courses in our student platform in a way that works for distance learning in the theoretical components. You need to have the willingness and commitment to try different methods and have knowledge of digital tools that allow you to film, record audio, and edit materials for educational purposes.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with pedagogical experience, knowledge in the digital sphere, and a strong desire to develop. You enjoy teaching, and it is important that you have the ability and willingness to develop people by sharing your professional knowledge. You need to have the ability to motivate and engage students. Good communication skills in both spoken and written language are a prerequisite.

The working hours are flexible but mostly occur during the day.

To be considered for the position, you need to have:

• Several years of teaching experience
• Very good computer skills
• Several years of experience as an installation electrician, industrial electrician, or other documented experience in the field.
• Driver's license B

Preferred qualifications:

• Teaching qualification
• B qualification or higher (in Electrical, see more information at ecy.se)
• Leadership experience in community organizations
• Documented experience in computer use and programs such as Microsoft Teams and the Office suite.
