The Children and Youth Administration is responsible for Halmstad's municipal preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school care, and cultural schools. Every day, approximately 16,000 children attend one of our facilities.

Trönningeskolan is located south of Halmstad on the border with Laholm Municipality and is within walking distance to the sea and nature. About 520 students are enrolled at Trönningeskolan in grades F-9, of which about 150 students attend the school's after-school care, which is divided into four after-school care departments. From grade 7, Trönningeskolan receives students from Eldsbergaskolan.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for teachers with a focus on after-school care for Trönningeskolan's after-school care. As a teacher, you will be responsible together with your colleagues in the work team for the after-school care's operations. This includes planning, documentation, and evaluation to develop the operations based on governing documents and our local development areas. We start from the students' needs, interests, and experiences and adapt our activities to the fact that students have different conditions. You are responsible for creating a positive and creative learning environment that leads to increased learning, where all students feel curiosity and a desire to learn. It is important that you can work independently, are clear, action-oriented, and responsive to adapt to the students' needs. You collaborate with colleagues and guardians in a professional manner and are open to new thoughts and ideas.

The tasks vary, providing a diverse and challenging job, while the work demands both competence and personal qualities from you. You are a stable and secure person with a good ability to create trust in your surroundings. During the daytime, you will work collaboratively with the school class. You help the students by providing them with support and stimulation based on their conditions.

Our educators at Eldsbergaskolan's and Trönningeskolan's after-school care meet approximately every three weeks to develop our teaching. At these meetings, we work with process quality, which concerns the internal work of the educational activities where each employee can influence, for example, the educators' attitudes, working methods, interaction with students, relationships between students, and the use of materials.

Before after-school care begins in the afternoon, you have 30 minutes of preparation time with your colleagues where you can prepare the teaching for after-school care, what you have planned during the planning time.

Whether you are newly qualified or have experience, you are equally welcome to apply. If you have qualifications in, for example, sports or practical aesthetic subjects, we see it as an asset that we can utilize in our teaching and activity group.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with a focus on after-school care and are well acquainted with the governing documents. To succeed in the role, we see that you are an engaged person who enjoys being involved in planning and development work. You adapt teaching to the needs, interests, and experiences of the student group, and you find it easy to adjust your working methods based on changed conditions and new information. You have the ability to build positive relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues and have good collaboration skills. Your practice is characterized by self-reflection and analysis.

If you are offered employment within the Children and Youth Administration, you are required to show an extract without remarks from the Police's criminal record for work within schools/preschools. The extract is free of charge and takes about 2-3 weeks for the police to process. Therefore, order in good time!
