The role of a teacher with us

In the role of a teacher in the after-school program, you contribute to a culture of participation where we collectively take responsibility, inspire, collaborate, and support each other. You plan, implement, analyze, and evaluate the activities based on the school's governing documents. We focus heavily on the development of the after-school program and its significance for students' learning. Your ability to create trusting and positive relationships with both students and their families is crucial for promoting a safe and developmental environment in our after-school program.

Your profile

We are looking for a person with the right combination of personality and competence. As a person, you want to be involved in creating, developing, and reflecting on the conditions for our students' time in the after-school program. This is characterized by creative processes, oases for recovery, as well as teacher-initiated and spontaneous learning situations. You are flexible, take your own initiative, and thrive on responsibility and challenges. You enjoy working in an environment where opportunities are seen in changes and have a desire to improve things for those we serve.

You are genuinely interested in creating, maintaining, and nurturing good relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians. You plan and organize your work effectively and strive for a work climate characterized by openness and lack of prestige. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Personal suitability is highly valued.

We are looking for someone who:

• is licensed in after-school education

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience working as a teacher in after-school programs
• a B driver's license

Gällingeskolan is one of Kungsbacka municipality's smallest schools and is located twenty kilometers southeast of Kungsbacka, beautifully situated in the municipality's major tourist destination, Kungsrike. We see this as a great advantage due to the proximity to each other, with several opportunities for collaboration between preschool classes, the after-school program, and the school. We have a fantastic outdoor environment that we utilize with joy. The school accommodates students from preschool class to fifth grade, totaling 150 students. A large number of students are enrolled in the after-school programs at the school. Everyone working at Gällingeskolan, regardless of their professional role, steps into a key role as the staff is in a smaller context and everyone needs to contribute in the best way possible.

Our offer and additional information

We offer a permanent full-time position with a start date of August 4, 2025, or according to agreement. Interviews will take place in weeks 14-15.
