The leisure activities department is responsible for all sports and leisure facilities, and the task also involves organizing and promoting active collaboration and networking with associations, civil society, individual actors, and residents. Collaboration is a central aspect, and we see it as a success factor in the mission to find forms and forums for this both within and outside the organization. You will have the support of a part-time association coordinator. Development of the operations is based on the municipality's focus areas.

The resource development unit currently consists of a work team with up to 12 participants and a team leader, focusing on the maintenance of public spaces such as parks, public areas, forests, nature, and recreational areas, etc. The work is carried out in close cooperation with other operations within the administration and the municipality, as well as in close collaboration with, above all, the social administration. The unit has a close collaboration with external stakeholders, and the mission of the operation is also to contribute and act in accordance with the municipality's overall integration work.

The janitorial unit provides services primarily to preschools, primary schools, high schools, elderly care, and sports facilities. The work includes repairs, installations, furniture moving, snow and ice control, some cleaning, service for bookings in sports facilities, and other municipal premises. The janitorial unit consists of six employees and a team leader.

Stora Valla IP has two groundskeepers, one of whom has arena coordination responsibility and one has association coordination responsibility in addition to the regular tasks. Here, we work to maintain several grass fields as well as the Stora Valla Allsvenskan arena, as well as the full-size outdoor artificial turf field and the artificial turf field in Stora Halla.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of unit manager, you will have overall responsibility for the units, which includes operational, budget, work environment, and personnel responsibilities. You will lead, drive, develop, and follow up to ensure that both financial and production goals are met. You will have the assistance of two team leaders, an association coordinator, and an arena coordinator. The role also includes administrative tasks such as allocating seasonal times in sports halls, system responsibility for the municipality's booking system, reporting, follow-up, and other responsibilities related to management within the units. Stora Valla IP is an area of responsibility that for the unit manager involves contacts with the association regarding budget, annual planning, and follow-up according to the agreements the municipality has with DIF.

The role reports to the head of the Service Administration and is part of the management group of the administration.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone who has relevant post-secondary education or other experience that the employer deems equivalent.
• Experience in similar work or other work within municipal technical services.
• Driver's license B.
• Computer and system proficiency in the Office suite and the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Management experience at both operational and strategic levels.

To be successful in the role of unit manager, we see that you have the ability to, through a clear structure characterized by openness and communication, make employees feel recognized and able to influence their daily work. It is advantageous if you have previous experience working in a politically governed organization or previous experience in development work.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
