Medical technology, which is one of the areas within Regionservice, is responsible for the majority of Region Örebro County's support regarding medical technology issues, equipment, and systems. We work with procurement, training, safety, maintenance, and system management, as well as the design and development of medical technology products and systems. Our management system is certified according to ISO 9001 and 13485.

Our approximately 65 employees work as medical technology engineers, project managers, project coordinators, system engineers, object managers, and administrative staff. We are located at the University Hospital in Örebro and the hospitals in Karlskoga and Lindesberg. Department Manager for Medical Technology, Department of Analysis and Diagnostics

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a department manager for the Department of Analysis and Diagnostics located at the University Hospital in Örebro. You will plan, lead, and follow up the department's work with procurement, service, maintenance, and safety of medical technology equipment, systems, and software. You are responsible for operations, personnel, finances, and working environment within the department. You will lead your 12 employees and collaborate with other department managers in the area and report directly to the area manager.

You will also be part of the area's management group where strategic decisions are made. You will also have access to support functions within finance and HR. The position also includes actively leading or participating in various procurement projects. There are good opportunities to adapt the setup based on your conditions. You will have contact with both internal stakeholders and customers within Region Örebro County as well as with external suppliers of equipment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a higher education or equivalent that we assess as comparable in technology or natural sciences. It is advantageous if you have managerial experience or another form of leadership experience. It is also advantageous if you have experience in medical technology and public procurement as well as knowledge of healthcare. You are good at communicating with both external and internal contacts and express yourself well in speech and writing, especially in Swedish but also in English.

We see that you are a driven person who creates engagement and contributes to a positive atmosphere in the workgroup. You have the ability to lead and steer towards common goals. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. As a leader, you are present, attentive, clear, make decisions, and support/coach your employees. As a person, you are flexible, meticulous, responsible, and good at communicating and collaborating. A requirement is that you have a B driver's license.
