We are now looking for a CEO for Nyköpingshem, a well-managed company with a strong position in the housing market in Nyköping and in a growing municipality. Here you will be offered a varied assignment where you are expected to contribute to development, not only in the organization but in the municipality at large - and together with your colleagues make a difference.

For over 75 years, Nyköpingshem has played an important role in the municipality's expansion and housing development by managing, building new, extending, and renovating. With over 4,000 homes, we are Nyköping's leading housing company with many satisfied tenants. Nyköpingshem AB is a municipal-owned company. We operate on business-like terms, but without individual profit interests. This way, we ensure long-term property management so that we can continue to have attractive, functional housing - and can add new ones to the municipality.

Today, we are about 80 people who together work to ensure that our tenants thrive and collaborate with other actors with supportive functions to contribute to a safe and inclusive society.

Responsibilities

In the role of CEO, your task will be to manage, develop, and drive the company forward with commitment and a secure leadership style, together with the employees. As CEO, you lead the strategic work and have the overall and ultimate responsibility for the company's operations and organization. You organize and drive the company's operations based on owner directives, business plans, budgets, policies, and guidelines. You will have overall responsibility to present the company's results and status to the board, as well as proactively develop strategies and proposals for its continued development.

Nyköpingshem is a well-managed, stable, and sustainable company that delivers excellent results within the focus areas that permeate the entire operation: customer, economy, personnel, and society. Your task will be to, together with the employees, continue that work and create strategies for the company to quickly handle a changing environment. You have a very competent and engaged management team at your disposal, consisting of an operational manager, project manager, HR manager, and administrative manager.

Your Profile

You who are applying have a knack for both strategic and operational reasoning and act commercially in various situations and relationships. You have the ability to see and act from a holistic perspective and plan and organize work with a grounding in reality. Your personality is characterized by a strong drive and willingness to collaborate while having a trusting leadership style. You are balanced and stable as a person and have a good ability to adapt to new circumstances. Furthermore, we emphasize that you, with openness, find it easy to approach others and are trustworthy in your relationships.

We place great importance on your personal potential and that you have the right qualities that match the company's needs. Factors that we assess as necessary in the role and thus are requirements:

  • Relevant higher education in economics, law, urban development, or similar – alternatively acquired equivalent competence in another way
  • At least 10 years of experience in a leading position within the real estate industry, construction sector, or related fields
  • Documented experience of leading complex assignments in organizations, developing processes, and driving company-wide projects with a focus on business acumen and sustainable development
  • Documented experience of leading through managers and experience of leading and/or participating in management team work
  • Experience in governance with long-term goals
  • Good knowledge of the regulations governing publicly owned companies, including public procurement and freedom of information legislation
  • Good knowledge of monitoring the housing policy area
  • Solid knowledge of understanding the status and reasonableness of the business through financial follow-up, financing, and forecasting, both short- and long-term
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing and good knowledge of English in speech and writing
  • Driving license B.
