We are looking for a project manager for targeted environmental measures at the Swedish Transport Administration, stationed in Jönköping or Linköping.
The position is full-time.
The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.
The Assignment
The assignment involves performing project management for the Swedish Transport Administration within RMÅ. This includes the allocation of the current budget to the various BAS contracts after dialogue with the respective project managers and road maintenance planners for the region. The RMÅ project manager is responsible for ensuring that this is carried out and monitored throughout the year, i.e., monitoring the budget and forecast registration together with the region's controller. The RMÅ project manager is also expected to coordinate and package the planning of RMÅ objects in cases where they are not ordered in our BAS base contracts. The packaging includes inventorying needs, managing procurement procedures, and preparing documentation, project management during the construction period (the Swedish Transport Administration's counterpart to the contracted supplier), as well as being responsible for ensuring that management data is received and documented after the completion of the contract. The RMÅ project manager will be able to call for support in matters related to purchasing, contracting, and production knowledge, handling management data, as well as expert support regarding, for example, wildlife or natural environments. However, the RMÅ project manager is expected to be proactive and responsible for the project's progress.
Job Responsibilities
Compilation of action inputs, which can come from various sources. For example, UHtam, PL BAS road, and VO Planning • Prioritization between measures • Allocation of funds, packaging, choice of how projects should be procured. For example, whether these should be carried out by the contractors of the base contracts, separate procurement, or included as OTB parts in the procurement of base contracts • Economic monitoring and forecast and deviation management • Preparation of documentation for orders, assignment descriptions, construction documents, authority and landowner contacts. • Call for consultants for example for planning • Participate in start-up and construction meetings as well as other relevant meetings • Procurement of measures • Project manage production and follow up on the contract. • The consultant has daily contact with suppliers within RMÅ projects • Follow-up, participation in inspections • Updating internal systems related to, for example, finance and management data • Handling incoming customer inquiries regarding RMÅ projects • Responsible for the handover process • Keep and report a detailed diary and driving log.
Requirements (Note, mandatory)
University degree in biology or environmental science or knowledge deemed equivalent by the client. At least five years of current and relevant work experience in project management (as project manager, site manager, assignment manager, or equivalent) within construction and/or civil engineering. The consultant must have worked with budgets, forecasts, and financial monitoring within this framework. Hold a valid B driver's license. Be able to express oneself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
Meritorious
For the client, it is an added value if the consultant has worked on at least two (2) assignments assessing natural values related to avenues and solitary trees. The consultant should have held a role as assignment manager, project manager, or site manager related to this type of measures in these assignments. For the client, it is an added value if the consultant has worked on at least two (2) assignments related to species identification, habitat requirements, distribution, and dispersal methods concerning invasive species. The consultant should have held a role as assignment manager, project manager, or site manager related to this type of measures in these assignments. For the client, it is an added value if the consultant has worked with notifications or permits for water activities according to the Environmental Code Chapter 11 in at least two (2) assignments.
