The Technical Unit is looking for two new employees for the street/park operations. In the Technical Unit, we are responsible for ensuring that the municipality's various streets, parks, playgrounds, schoolyards, buildings, and environments are in good condition, so that our residents, visitors, and employees have a positive experience when they are there.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work with the operation and maintenance of the municipality's outdoor environments where all tasks related to the assignment are included. The position includes snow preparedness during the winter season.

The position includes the following tasks:

Mowing and trimming
Weeding
Brush clearing
Maintenance of perennial plantings
Trimming of bushes
Tree pruning
Snow removal with machine/tractor
Sand collection
Leaf blowing/leaf collection
Playground maintenance
Street maintenance
Contact with suppliers
Contact with contractors

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for candidates who:

Have at least a high school education with a focus on gardening or have experience from similar work for at least 5 years.
Have good skills in operating machines such as tool carriers and tractors.
Are skilled in reading, understanding, and following instructions, routines, and manuals.
Have basic computer skills (Office package) and preferably experience working in operational systems.

It is advantageous if you have:

Lift training
Driver's license for construction machinery
Chainsaw certification
BE driver's license

This is a physically demanding job, and you should enjoy being outdoors in all weather conditions.

As a person, you are confident in yourself, take responsibility, and can plan your day based on the tasks that need to be performed. You have a professional attitude and find it easy to collaborate. It is important that you have good communication skills and are social to create good contacts and relationships. You are flexible and have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Since travel is a daily part of the job, you need to have at least a B driver's license.
