Your new job

As a painter with us, you will perform various painting tasks, from larger renovations, local adaptations, facade painting, to smaller repairs in Jönköping Municipality's properties. You will work both independently and in a team, with many points of contact both internally within the municipality and externally with our clients. We are looking for someone who enjoys social settings and likes to take responsibility for their work.

Your skills

You find it easy to work with others and take initiative, planning and organizing your work in a structured and efficient manner. You drive your own and the team's work forward to achieve results and meet set deadlines. You have a calm and accommodating demeanor, are service-oriented, and can build good customer relationships. You communicate in a clear and attentive manner. Quality and achieving set goals are important to you.

You have a three-year upper secondary education with a focus on painting or what we assess as equivalent. You preferably have several years of experience in the painting industry.

A valid driver's license (B) and a professional certificate are required.

Welcome to us

The Property Department consists of about 160 employees across four operational areas: Property Management, Property Development, Property and Construction Services, and Operational Support. We are responsible for developing, building, and maintaining the municipality's properties with a strong focus on service and customer satisfaction. As one of the region's largest property owners, with over 1,150,000 square meters of residential and commercial space, we offer you an exciting work environment.

You will belong to the construction service unit, which includes 15 carpenters, five painters, two electricians, two operations managers, one unit manager, and one administrator. We have a great community and an open attitude. We operate from Rosenlund where we have a modern carpentry workshop with a spray booth for manufacturing and preparing materials for assembly.

Good to know

The position is a permanent employment at 100% with a start date according to agreement. We apply ongoing selection and interviews are planned for weeks 17 and 18. When interviewed, be prepared to provide two references.
