As a Project and Construction Manager in Railway with us, you will be a key player in our railway projects. You will work as a consultant and represent our clients, which gives you a central role in the execution of projects. You will be involved in the entire project cycle – from early stages, where your expertise will be valuable, to leading and coordinating construction management in ongoing projects. Your responsibilities will range from creating conditions for effective and safe construction to leading production issues and coordinating contractors' work, focusing on time, cost, and quality.

Depending on your profile, you will work with:

• Construction management within BEST-K and land, where you support the client with technical solutions and ensure the progress of the contract.
• BPU assignments within BEST-K and land, responsible for following up on the contractor's work and controlling quantities and execution.
• Project management and/or sub-project management, responsible for schedules, budgets, resource planning, and follow-up against project goals.
• Conducting production, technical, and construction meetings to ensure that all aspects of the constructions proceed as planned.
• Providing specialist support during design and preparation of tender documents.

The projects you will work on are mainly located in the Jönköping region, but projects further away may occur.

About you

We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their tasks and has the ability to drive processes forward with good business understanding. You are skilled at building and developing both new and existing customer relationships, and you thrive in a dynamic work environment with varied tasks, both in the field and in the office. Your unpretentious approach and your communication skills are a great asset when collaborating with various contact points both internally and externally, and you actively contribute to creating collaborations focused on common goals.

To be considered for the role, you also need:

• High school education.
• At least 5 years of documented experience in railway projects as a consultant or contractor.
• Experience with investment or operation and maintenance contracts within the railway sector.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of the Office suite.
• Driving license B.

Meritorious:

• University degree in construction and civil engineering or other education deemed equivalent.
• Experience in a leadership position such as supervisor, site manager, project manager, BPU, etc.
• Experience conducting meetings such as technical meetings, production meetings, or construction meetings.
• System strong, with experience of the Swedish Transport Administration's or municipalities' systems.

Location and other information

We offer a permanent position starting by agreement. Your main location will be at our office in Jönköping, but we also offer flexibility to work remotely a few days a week. Since much of the work takes place in our projects, the role may involve travel.
