Today, on September 25, 2024, we see an interesting variation in electricity prices throughout the day. Prices start relatively high at midnight at 11 öre per kWh, but quickly drop during the night and reach negative levels later in the evening. Tomorrow's prices, on September 26, 2024, show a similar trend with even lower prices during the night hours.

Electricity Prices Today: September 25, 2024

During the early morning hours, from 00:00 to 05:59, electricity prices range between 11 öre and 6 öre per kWh. Prices then increase significantly and reach today's highest levels at 19 öre per kWh between 07:00 and 09:59. In the afternoon, prices drop again and reach as low as 3 öre per kWh at 20:00.

Free Energy in the Evening

During the last hours of the day, from 21:00 to 23:59, it is actually free to use electricity. This means you can shower, bathe, charge your car, or play games at no cost during these hours. Take advantage of these low prices to charge your electric car or run the dishwasher.

Electricity Prices Tomorrow: September 26, 2024

Tomorrow offers even more sensational electricity prices. From 00:00 to 04:59, prices are negative, which means you are essentially paid to use electricity. It's an excellent time to run energy-intensive appliances or charge your electric car.

Higher Prices During the Day

From 06:00 onwards, prices gradually rise and peak at 23 öre per kWh between 17:00 and 18:59. It may be wise to avoid major energy consumption during these hours if you want to keep costs down.

Curious Facts and Interesting Insights

During the cheapest hour today, at 23:00, a shower costs -8 öre and a bath costs -12 öre, which means you actually earn money by using these services. Charging an electric car during this hour gives you -120 öre, providing a unique opportunity to save on energy costs.

Lowest Electricity Price of the Year

If we had the lowest electricity price all year round, it would have cost -360 SEK to heat a medium-sized house of 160 sqm. This is a fascinating thought and highlights the economic benefits of taking advantage of low electricity prices.

Most Expensive Hours Today

During today's most expensive hours, at 08:00, a bath costs 167 öre and charging an electric car costs 1678 öre. This serves as a reminder of the importance of planning energy-intensive activities for cheaper times of the day to reduce costs.
