Join us now as we restart in our new premises. We are looking for an occupational therapist to start as soon as possible or as agreed.

As an occupational therapist at Arjeplog Municipality, you will work together with the staff at the Health and Medical Care Unit to achieve a safe and secure health and medical care within Home Healthcare and Special Housing. You will collaborate closely with physiotherapists, nurses, unit managers, and nursing assistants. Together, we create quality of life and make a difference for people every day. As one of the largest municipalities by area, our workplace extends many miles into surrounding villages. No day is like the other, and every patient is unique.

The rehab team consists of two physiotherapists and two occupational therapists, so you always have support from colleagues. We are a group that gets along very well, and this is reflected in our daily work. We have recently moved to new premises, which also means that we have exciting change work ahead of us within the operations that you can influence.

As a licensed occupational therapist, you will be responsible for assessments and interventions as well as the prescription of assistive devices. You will also initiate, supervise, and educate staff and relatives so that the occupational therapy interventions are adapted to the individual's ability and conditions, which requires flexibility and ingenuity.

You manage your daily life independently and often work in a team with someone in the rehab team.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist or who are undergoing occupational therapy education and are in the final year of study. Experience in similar work is meritorious.

It is of great importance that you can work independently but also have the ability to collaborate with the care team around the patient. You need to be receptive and clear and able to adapt your communication to the other party. We are looking for someone who is confident in themselves and values a professional and good reception. In this position, it is of utmost importance that you have a service-oriented approach.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

A driver's license and computer skills are required.

Arjeplog Municipality has decided on a salary bonus, which means that the person who is employed in a current shortage occupation on a permanent employment in Arjeplog Municipality, with an employment date after 2018-07-01, has the opportunity to receive a salary bonus for 3 years. Occupational therapist is a current shortage occupation. To receive this bonus, it is required that you are registered in Arjeplog Municipality during these 3 years. The salary bonus is paid when employment exceeds: 12 months with 15,000 SEK, 24 months with 22,500 SEK, and 36 months with 30,000 SEK.

Also, the possibility to apply for a relocation bonus, which means that the person who has adequate education and gets a job in a shortage occupation, and registers in Arjeplog can get a bonus. Max 30,000 SEK after verified receipts.

The bonus is in proportion to the degree of employment.
