About the Role

Experienced Engineer in Instrument Maintenance – focusing on Turbine, Turbine Control, and its auxiliary systems.

The Position

We are looking for you with solid expertise in instrumentation, control, regulation, and monitoring systems related to turbine facilities and their auxiliary systems. You are offered a developmental and responsible role in a technically advanced environment where safety, availability, and collaboration are in focus.

As an engineer in the instrument maintenance unit, you work long-term and strategically with instrumentation and control equipment in our turbine facilities. The focus is on the systems that monitor, control, and protect the turbine, the turbine regulation, and its auxiliary systems, as well as how these interact with other plant systems for safe and stable electricity production.

The tasks include troubleshooting, testing, analysis, and optimization of instrumentation, sensors, measurement chains, control functions, control systems, and interfaces to other technical areas. You work with systems related to steam supply, lubrication oil systems, hydraulics, vibration monitoring, condensate and feedwater systems, as well as the turbine's protection and control functions. You actively participate in investigations and improvement work to ensure high reliability, availability, and performance in the facility.

The role also includes being the unit's technical contact person for both large and small projects in the area. You contribute with high competence and experience in instrumentation, control engineering, and control systems, ensuring that maintenance and operational experiences are utilized during changes, modernizations, and life-extension measures in the facility.

You will also play an important role in the group's competence development by acting as a mentor for new and junior employees. Through guidance and knowledge transfer, you contribute to building and ensuring long-term competence within the operations.

Requirements

You have a secondary or post-secondary education in instrumentation technology, automation, control engineering, electrical power, or a corresponding technical focus.

You have several years of experience in instrument maintenance in process industry, energy sector, or other safety-critical operations. We view experience with control and regulation systems, process instrumentation, turbine regulation, protection functions, and troubleshooting in complex facilities particularly positively.

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• Instrumentation, regulation, and control systems for turbine facilities.
• Turbine regulation and the turbine's protection and monitoring systems.
• PLC-, DCS-, or other advanced control systems.
• Testing and verification of safety and protection functions.
• Vibration monitoring and condition control of rotating equipment.
• Interfaces between different technical areas such as instrumentation, electrical, control equipment, process, and mechanical systems.
• Project work, facility changes, and technical investigations.
• Nuclear power or other safety-critical operations.

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and have a great interest in technical systems and their interaction. You enjoy sharing your knowledge, building networks, and being a technical support for both colleagues and project organizations. You have the ability to see the big picture in complex facilities while also being able to delve into details when the situation requires it.
