To drive continued development in line with our organization, we are now looking for an engaged and solution-oriented Area Technician (Mechanical).

Your Role

As an Area Technician in mechanical maintenance, you will be part of a group responsible for creating the best possible conditions for maintaining and improving production equipment with the aim of increasing or maintaining plant performance. The work involves, among other things, developing preventive maintenance plans (PM plans), participating in root cause investigations, and coordinating internal and external resources during maintenance shutdowns. The role also involves a broad network of natural collaboration partners such as mechanics, planners, preparers, and other internal and external functions.

Common tasks include:

  • Develop and adapt preventive maintenance plans within the relevant machinery area to ensure operational reliability and cost-efficiency.
  • Coordinate maintenance efforts during shutdowns.
  • Perform planned corrective maintenance.
  • Closely collaborate with flow managers and other operational functions by participating in board meetings and relevant on-site meeting forums.
  • Analyze plant disruptions to identify root causes of various problems with the aim of improving preventive maintenance.
  • Provide technical support and expertise for, for example, shift maintenance and operations in your area.
  • Participate in and lead various forums for maintenance improvements.
  • Develop skills in using various digital tools for analysis and follow-up.

This is a varied role where you have the opportunity to work both independently and in teams with your colleagues and support resources. We always prioritize safety and work systematically; therefore, careful preparation and documentation of planned and executed work are a natural part of daily operations.

Location: Sandviken. The position is currently day shift.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a technical high school education, or alternatively, experience from a similar role assessed as equivalent. You preferably have several years of experience in a similar maintenance role within manufacturing industry. For this position, you need good IT skills in the Office package, and experience with administrative tasks such as maintenance plans is preferred. Experience working in maintenance systems like Maximo or similar is considered an asset. You speak and write Swedish fluently.

We place great importance on your personal qualities, characterized by being driven and having the ability to take initiative and step up in various contexts. You have a strong desire to learn, develop, and contribute to continuous improvements in the business.
