About Us

We need to strengthen our delivery team within HR and Finance. We are looking for an IT Specialist, preferably with some development skills, who wants to develop and ensure that the Swedish Customs Administration's (Tullverket) business-critical systems within HR and Finance function stably and support the organization's processes.

The Swedish Customs Administration's IT department in Luleå is Northern Sweden's largest IT employer, with approximately 350 employees. We have a socially important mission and many exciting areas of operation.

About the Role

The systems within the development area of HR and Finance consist mainly of purchased standard systems and cloud services, which means that the role of IT Specialist varies depending on the needs of the systems. The focus is on administration, configuration, databases, automation, and further development of standard systems in the Swedish Customs Administration's IT environment.

Information and IT security is an important aspect in all our systems. Your role, in collaboration with other experts, contributes to protecting business-critical systems with high security values.

What You Will Be Working With:

You will be part of a delivery team consisting of IT and business specialists, and you will also collaborate with external system suppliers. The team works with new development, further development, and administration of systems within the HR and Finance business area.

  • Further development and administration: You will work with system maintenance, upgrades, as well as creating and managing configurations.
  • Database management, automation, and integrations: Ensure that databases function correctly together with other integrations. It is an advantage if you can develop scripts to automate tasks and extract customized data from databases for further delivery and processing in other systems.
  • Support and troubleshooting: You will work with incident management in collaboration with the business, IT operations, and external supplier experts.
  • Development: You will participate in "proof of concepts" for new solutions and new technology to streamline operations and our systems. This could, for example, involve introducing AI capabilities where relevant and secure.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A post-secondary education in IT or other education or experience that the Swedish Customs Administration considers equivalent.
  • Swedish citizenship.
  • The ability to express yourself well in speech and writing, primarily in Swedish but also in English.
  • Knowledge of relational databases, primarily MS SQL, and the ability to handle, extract, and structure data in an efficient and quality-assured manner.

The work involves being on-site in Luleå at least one day a week.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience with ERP/finance systems and HR systems in general, and Heroma in particular.
  • Experience with incident management.
  • Experience with needs analysis and solution design.
  • Experience with Agile working methods.
  • Experience in building, managing, and automating database extracts for delivery to, for example, data analysis warehouses (BI) using automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript.

Personal Qualities

  • You want to contribute to creating business value by collaborating with others in a flat hierarchy.
  • You are curious and interested in new technology and new ways to solve old problems. You have a "mindset" that strives to further develop and streamline operations.
  • You are comfortable collaborating remotely and using digital channels and tools to reach your colleagues.

For you, the Swedish Customs Administration's core values – Holistic View, Innovation, Responsibility – are completely natural.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability!
