You will belong to the unit Regional Development Northern Sweden, part of the Department of EU Investments and National Support at Tillväxtverket. We are a dedicated group of project advisors and a few program managers driving the work with the EU Regional Fund program in Northern Sweden. We work in a data-driven manner, with great responsibility and close collaboration with both local and national actors.
Your workplace is in Luleå. You will work on issues primarily concerning Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland, and Västernorrland. Travel is included in the position.
About the position
As a project advisor within the EU Regional Fund, you help decide how public funds are invested – in innovation, green transition, digitalization, and stronger businesses. You will have a varied and analytical role where you follow projects from idea to result. At the same time, you build knowledge about the regions' needs and work with assessments that require good ability to interpret legal frameworks, analyze economic materials, and contribute to smart, sustainable solutions. You participate in Tillväxtverket's efforts for strengthened regional competitiveness and sustainable development.
The role includes work with information, mobilization, counseling, follow-up, result dissemination, and result communication, as well as processing project applications within the regional structural fund programs.

We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree from a university or college within social sciences/economics/law or another area that Tillväxtverket considers relevant for the position
- Experience of working with case processing within the public sector or the EU's structural fund programs. Alternatively, experience of working with regional development.
- Established networks and/or good knowledge of the area's regional development organizations and growth-promoting actors
- Experience of working with economic and legal materials
- Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish, with a focus on making complex information accessible
The following are meritorious:
- Experience with Nyps2020 (case management system)
- Experience of working with issues within the regional innovation or business promotion system
- Experience of working with green transition (environmental and climate issues)
- Good knowledge of state aid rules
- Good knowledge of renewable energy, smart energy systems, and circular economy
- Longer work experience with a focus on the EU's structural fund programs or regional development work in any of the four northernmost counties
- Driver's license B
