Are you at the beginning of your career and want to work on issues that contribute to a strong and robust crisis and contingency planning effort? The Swedish Energy Agency is now looking for a Case Worker in Contingency Planning. In this role, you will work with issues such as continuity planning, exercise operations, and situation awareness. Your responsibilities – implement and drive crisis and contingency work
As a contingency authority, the Swedish Energy Agency has rigorous demands on its crisis and contingency work. As a case worker, you will implement and conduct cross-authority crisis and contingency work together with your colleagues.
You will work broadly to drive contingency work together with your colleagues in the unit. Depending on your experience, the tasks may vary between continuity coordination, exercise coordination, or situation awareness work. This may involve supporting operations in continuity planning and critical dependencies, project managing and coordinating the agency's exercise activities, or developing and managing situation awareness work and information supply processes.
The role also involves ongoing collaboration, both internally and externally, with other authorities and relevant actors to strengthen the common capability. You are given opportunities to develop in the role, while also influencing working methods and driving the development of the agency's contingency work.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a post-secondary education in a relevant field for the assignment, such as risk management, crisis management, or international relations. We see that you have an interest in contingency issues and have gained experience in the area through, for example, studies combined with internships or work experience. You also need to feel confident in providing support and advice in the area.
You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of modern IT systems. You must have Swedish citizenship as the position is classified for security clearance.
It is meritorious if you have knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Critical societal functions
- Current work experience in areas relevant to the position
- Project management
- Experience and knowledge of energy issues
- Worked with issues related to security protection
- Studied courses in security and contingency issues

The Contingency Unit works on developing, supporting, directing, and following up the agency's internal work with crisis preparedness as well as war preparedness. The unit is part of the Energy Preparedness Division.

Good to know
The position is a permanent employment with an initial six-month probationary period. This position is classified for security clearance, which means security investigation and register check according to the provisions in the Security Protection Act will be conducted. In the case of permanent employment, war posting at the authority may become relevant.
