Hospitals West is a department within the Region of Västra Götaland and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Primary Care Hospital, Högsbo Primary Care Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. The Emergency Department currently has about 70 employees (nurses, assistant nurses, medical secretaries, and emergency doctors). We receive emergency cases within surgery, orthopedics, and internal medicine during the department's opening hours between 08:00 and 21:00, seven days a week. In surgery and orthopedics, we also treat children. The Emergency Department handles approximately 22,000 emergency visits annually. We belong to the Emergency Care business area together with ambulance services, ward coordinators, and the Alingsås Primary Care Team.

We are now looking for a nurse who wants to become part of our fantastic team. You should be skilled at prioritizing your tasks and want to contribute to optimizing emergency care for our patients. Your approach is characterized by care for people, both patients and colleagues.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse in the Emergency Department, you will be part of multidisciplinary teams together with doctors, assistant nurses, and medical secretaries in the emergency care of patients needing acute care. You will develop by working in different positions at the department, for example as the responsible nurse for a patient or in the rapid response team. The work is varied, challenging, and stimulating.

About You

You are a registered nurse and have at least one year of experience as a nurse, preferably more. Experience in emergency care is an advantage. Great importance is placed on personal suitability, where the ability to collaborate in a team and prioritize are important skills, as well as being flexible. We believe in employee-driven development, and our philosophy is that the strength lies with those who are closest to the patient, which is why engagement and creativity are qualities we are looking for. Together with your colleagues, you will work to continuously improve care, with the patient in focus.
