As an age control officer and Mystery Shopper, you will travel around the country on what is called a "loop" in a team of two employees. You will drive our company cars and stay at hotels during these loops. The company covers all costs related to accommodation and fuel. Therefore, it is important that you have a manual B driving license and good driving experience so that you feel safe on the roads.
To work with us, you must be available to stay away from home Monday–Friday for 2–3 weeks per month.
The loops can vary between 2–5 days in a row. This means that depending on the month and assignment, the amount of time you work and sleep outside of Umeå will vary.
Working alone is possible, but you will mostly work in pairs.
During your work, you will visit shops, cafes, restaurants, and similar establishments to conduct so-called mystery purchases of items such as games, tobacco, medicine, and alcohol. The purpose is to measure whether the sales outlet requests identification when selling age-restricted goods.
The role starts with an introduction at the end of August.
The assignments involve age checks, specifically controls to ensure that alcohol is not sold to minors (Alcohol Act Chapter 5, Section 5). To act as a mystery shopper within the age range where age control is required, you must be at least 20 years old, or of an age that is representative for the legal purchase of alcoholic beverages.
This ensures that all mystery purchases are conducted by an age-representative controller and that all shops are checked on the same grounds. The age checks are carried out for preventive purposes.
As a Mystery Shopper, you will also conduct anonymous quality measurements. This means you will visit a location and act as a regular customer following a specific scenario to assess specific criteria in the experience. We help our clients develop quality and sales in customer interactions and ensure that established routines are followed continuously.
Requirements:
You must have a manual B driving license and be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Strong written communication skills and an eye for detail are highly valued, as the role involves significant report writing. Previous experience in service roles and/or cash register experience is considered a merit.
The job can be combined with light distance studies or other flexible part-time work. The workload varies from month to month depending on our clients' assignments. Working hours are primarily during the day, but evening and weekend work may occur.
You need to be available to work 2–3 weeks per month, including staying away from home Monday–Friday during those periods.
Applications are only accepted via the application portal. Selection is ongoing, and you will be contacted by phone if you proceed to an interview in the recruitment process.
