The Leisure Department consists of approximately 20 employees distributed across four work teams: the Leisure Department office, the Leisure Bank, Färila Swimming and Sports Hall, and the sports ground caretakers.

Färila Swimming and Sports Hall is a municipal facility that houses a swimming hall, sports hall, gym, cafeteria, and reception under one roof. The activity plays an important role in promoting health, movement, and social community in the local area.

Responsibilities

As an employee at Färila Swimming and Sports Hall, you have a varied role with a focus on service, safety, and practical responsibility. You participate in swimming instruction for both school classes and private individuals, provide gym instructions, lead activities, staff the reception, welcome visitors, and handle simpler café operations.

Cleaning is a natural part of the assignment, as is material handling and simpler caretaker duties. You use mechanical equipment, such as floor scrubbers and cleaning machines, and ensure that the premises are safe, clean, and functional.

The work environment is physically active and varies in temperature and noise levels. The position is part of a two-shift schedule on weekdays, with weekend work approximately every third weekend. You work in close cooperation with colleagues and are an important part of the team that ensures the facility runs smoothly – both behind the scenes and in the meeting with our visitors.

It is meritorious if you have experience of similar work, as well as training in swimming instruction, lifesaving, or CPR. A B driving license is also meritorious.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We are looking for you who are secure, flexible, cooperative, and value order, safety, and good treatment.
