Do you enjoy creating structure, driving improvements, and leading teams towards common goals? As Workshop Manager at Nordic Equipment Welding, you will have a central role where you are responsible for developing the workshop and ensuring efficient, high-quality, and profitable production.

About the role

As Workshop Manager at Nordic Equipment Welding, you will hold a key role in our operations, responsible for leading, developing, and optimizing the workshop with a focus on quality, delivery precision, and customer satisfaction.

You have overall responsibility for daily operations and work both operationally and strategically to ensure efficient and profitable production. The role entails full responsibility for planning and execution in areas such as environment, quality, economy, and delivery.

With clear leadership, you drive the business forward and create the prerequisites for a high-performing organization. You lead and develop your employees, ensure the right competence in the team, and actively work on improvements and structure in production.

You have a strong customer and business focus and understand the importance of a holistic perspective, collaboration, and long-term relationships – both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the workshop's operations
  • Responsible for production planning, resource allocation, and follow-up
  • Ensure that work is carried out according to quality management systems (ISO 3834) and current regulations
  • Drive and develop work within quality, environment, and working environment
  • Personnel responsibility including workforce management, competence development, and follow-up
  • Ensure high quality in production and delivery to the customer
  • Be the closest leader for the workshop's employees, including welders
  • Drive improvement work and efficiency of processes
  • Be an active part of the management group and contribute to the company's strategic development
  • Maintain and develop relationships with customers and suppliers

About you

You are a confident and experienced leader with a background in the workshop industry or mechanical industry, preferably within the heavier segment. You have good technical understanding and experience from production, where you are accustomed to combining operational presence with a structured and business-minded approach.

You have experience leading teams and creating engagement, and you are used to working with planning, follow-up, and quality assurance in a production environment. If you have worked as a welder yourself or have corresponding practical experience, we consider this very meritorious.

As a person, you are structured, communicative, and solution-oriented. You thrive in a role where you get to take responsibility, make decisions, and drive development.

We believe you have:

  • Experience of workforce management and production planning within workshop/industry
  • Background in welding or workshop work (meritorious)
  • Experience from mechanical industry, preferably within the heavier segment
  • Good understanding of quality work and standards such as ISO 3834
  • Accustomed to working structured with documentation and follow-up
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing
  • Good computer skills
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)
