On behalf of our client, Sibe Construction is looking for an experienced estimator in civil engineering and construction for a well-established and family-oriented construction company located just south of Gothenburg.

About the role

This is a broad and production-oriented role where you will play a central and important part in the business. You will independently drive the bidding process from start to finish and work closely with production, management, customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Preparing bids and cost estimates for civil engineering and construction projects
• Purchasing and tendering for subcontractors and suppliers
• Organizing and administering bid and quotation processes
• Contract management and contractual matters
• Participating in project planning and follow-up
• Supporting production with economic and technical issues

Projects vary from smaller contracts to larger and more complex construction projects, creating a varied and developing daily routine.

We are looking for someone who

• Has several years of experience in estimating within civil engineering and construction.
• Has good knowledge of contract and procurement law, as well as AMA, MER, and RA Anläggning standards.
• Has experience from construction production and understands the operations on project sites.
• Is familiar with working in estimation software, such as BidCon.
• Is comfortable working in the Office suite and has particularly good skills in Excel, as a large part of the estimating and follow-up work takes place there.
• Speaks and writes Swedish fluently.

It is an advantage if you also have experience in finance, contract management, and scheduling, as well as a technical education in construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure.
