Server at O’Learys Borlänge

About the role: Your primary role as a server at O’Learys Borlänge is to ensure our guests have a fantastic experience. This means maintaining full focus on the guests, welcoming and attending to every visitor, being attentive and helpful, and addressing requests in a professional manner. You will guide guests to their tables, present the menu, take orders, serve food and drinks, and provide excellent service throughout their visit.

Responsibilities include:

• Serving food and drinks according to our service process.
• Welcoming and attending to guests with a smile, showing them to tables or activities in the absence of the head waiter.
• Responsible for presenting the menu and offers to guests.
• Ensuring guests receive the best possible service and overall experience.
• Taking orders via iPad and delivering correct order confirmations to the kitchen.
• Following alcohol laws and checking ID for persons under 25 years of age.
• Collecting payment from guests and providing receipts upon completion of sales.
• Informing the supervisor or security personnel if a guest has consumed too much alcohol or is creating an inappropriate atmosphere.
• Actively driving sales of add-ons and upselling such as dips, starters, drinks, and desserts.
• Informing guests about our activities and offers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Setting up and preparing the venue before opening/closing and following routine lists and manuals carefully.
• Serving tables, clearing, cleaning, collecting dishes and trash, and placing them in designated areas.
• Ensuring service stations are well-organized and stocked.
• Supporting all areas of the restaurant such as dishwashing, greeter, activities, kitchen, bar, and nightclub.
• Leaving iPads, cash registers, and card terminals in good condition and ensuring cash registers balance.

Desired experience and skills:

• At least one year of work experience as a server in a restaurant/bar and good cash register skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written Swedish and good knowledge of English.
• Minimum of upper secondary education.
• Relationship-building, stress-resistant, and enjoys working as part of a team.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Problem solver with a focus on creating a good experience for the guest.
• Passion for food, drinks, sports, and people.
