Bartender at O’Learys Borlänge

About the role: As a bartender at O’Learys Borlänge, your primary responsibility is serving guests in our bars. You are responsible for creating and serving drinks to our guests based on their requests, ensuring a wonderful experience through friendly interaction and 100% service. As a bartender, you will also assist with various restaurant operations such as service, activities, dishwashing, etc., as needed. Together with the bar manager, you are responsible for creating a pleasant and fun atmosphere in the bars and driving the development of the bars to ensure they operate as optimally as possible!

Responsibilities include:

• Receiving and quality-checking goods delivered to the bar.
• Preparing ordered drinks according to recipes.
• Serving appropriate drinks to bar guests and providing friendly customer service.
• Actively working on upselling to guests.
• Using measuring glasses for spirits.
• Following bar routines, checklists, and manuals.
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in the bar area, including surfaces and equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with alcohol laws by not serving minors or intoxicated guests.
• Reporting over-serving to the manager or supervisor.
• Staying updated on new recipes and bar trends and implementing them together with the bar manager.
• Assisting in other parts of the business, such as dishwashing, service, and game reception/bowling terminals.

Desired experience and skills:

• Experience in a service role, preferably in a restaurant/bar setting, and cash register experience.
• Interpersonal skills and enjoyment of teamwork.
• Fluent in Swedish (speaking and writing) and good knowledge of English.
• Flexible, service-oriented, and attentive.
