We are currently looking for Field Technicians for Ulricehamn and surrounding areas who want to take responsibility in the field, work with modern technology, and contribute to our important societal mission. The position is a fixed-term contract until August 30, 2027 – with the possibility of extension.

Your mission: Protect buried infrastructure

Groundworks are taking place across Sweden every day – and every day there is a risk that important cables for electricity, fiber optics, and water could be damaged. Damage that can have serious consequences for societal functions, businesses, and critical services. At Geomatikk, we work to protect this vital infrastructure that keeps society running.

As a Field Technician at Geomatikk, you play a key role in preventing these disruptions, both along railways, roads, and other locations where groundworks are performed. Using GPS and modern measuring instruments, you locate and mark exactly where the buried cables are located – ensuring that groundworks can be carried out safely without damaging the infrastructure.

Your daily life as a Field Technician

The role involves significant personal responsibility and plenty of fresh air! You spend your workday out in the field with your car as your rolling office. Your days vary, but what they have in common is that you move between different locations and contribute your expertise and safety awareness. Therefore, it is important that you are service-oriented, clear in your communication, and enjoy taking initiative.

You will:

• locate, mark, and measure cables using advanced measurement technology along railways, roads, and other locations where groundworks are performed
• prevent cable damage
• interact with customers and contractors in the field

We are looking for you who have

Basic requirements:

• Technical mindset and ability to read maps and technical documentation
• Good orientation skills and a strong safety mindset
• Service-oriented and clear in communication
• Class B driver's license and upper secondary education or equivalent
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious qualifications:

• Measurement technical knowledge and experience
• English language skills

Security requirements

Since Geomatikk's customers conduct security-sensitive operations, you as an applicant must undergo a security clearance. This consists of a register check and a specific interview, conducted in connection with or after your employment interview. You must provide your consent for us to carry out the check. Employment can only take place after a completed and approved security clearance.
