We are currently looking for a Freight Forwarding Specialist for our office in Gothenburg at DHL. The position is a full-time consultancy role (37.5 hours/week) with immediate start. There are good opportunities for conversion to permanent employment.

About the Role

Your main responsibilities:

• Maintain daily contact with our customers and suppliers.
• Handle bookings from customers, other offices, or our network – create and confirm bookings, ensuring all transport modes are executed on time according to customer and product requirements.
• Update systems with relevant and correct information to provide and receive the latest shipment updates in accordance with applicable laws and internal procedures.
• Book shipments in the most cost-effective manner.
• Proactively inform customers about delivery status, any incidents, and problem resolutions.
• Respond to incoming price inquiries and handle cross-selling.
• Create, follow up on, and analyze both internal and external reports, and provide them to the customer.
• Work on daily customer satisfaction through regular follow-ups and have a strong interest in continuous improvement.

You are a person with knowledge and experience in freight forwarding. You are commercially minded and able to make quick decisions for individual assignments within the company's financial framework, with the ability to see the bigger picture where good economics and productivity form the basis of business success. Qualifications

• Experience in air and/or road freight forwarding, preferably on the import side.
• Goal-, result-, and commercially oriented with strong drive and will to succeed.
• Positive attitude towards actively participating in or driving change initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Share and enjoy our values: Excellence, Entrepreneurship, Teamwork, and Passion.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with our business system Cargowise is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written) and good knowledge of English, which is our corporate language.
• Completed upper secondary education.
• University or university college education in Transport/Logistics is an advantage.
