In the spring of 2022, we launched a unit for young people's mental health at Alepraktiken, called UPH Älvan. This activity is an additional assignment meaning to serve as a resource clinic with consolidated advanced competence for assessment, treatment, and consultation within primary care for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health issues.

Job Responsibilities

The work has a primary care perspective and includes counseling, assessment, treatment, and diagnosis of children and young people with mild to moderate mental health issues based on needs and stepped care. The assignment also includes parental support, both individually and in groups, with a focus on early interventions and self-help. Interventions are offered both physically and digitally. We view the patient as a whole and place great emphasis on collaboration with other actors in society, such as schools and social services. As an employee, you will work in a team with experienced psychologists, counselors, doctors, and administrators. The unit manager is a psychologist and works partly clinically. At our clinic, you as an employee have good opportunities to contribute to the development of our interventions and working methods. We constantly work on developing the methods we offer to better meet the needs of our patients.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist and/or a licensed psychotherapist, with at least one year of prior experience with the target group. We prefer that you have substantial experience in assessment, psychological treatment, and interventions for parents, children, and young people, including CBT competence.
