After the new year, we will open more care beds where we will deepen our expertise in three complex medical specialties - nephrology, endocrinology, and rheumatology.

Our Offer

Ward B173 is a specialized unit where we primarily care for people with kidney diseases and rheumatological conditions. After the new year, we will also care for people with endocrine diseases such as diabetes and other hormone-related conditions. In addition, we have a high influx from the emergency department of people with other medical problems.

To contribute with security and be a support for you as a new nurse, an experienced mentor nurse is on site on weekdays. The mentor nurse can relieve the care team if necessary by helping with complex patient cases, answering questions that may arise from various sides, and sitting in as ward support for you as a new employee. We are also a ward that has come far in digital development and work with iPads (NOVA tablet) where we create digital checklists for what needs to be done during the day. The iPad also provides access to Cosmic for easier documentation, reading journals, and administering medication.

DOA – our day care service is a unit where patients come for various infusions and outpatient procedures. This service is located next door to the ward and contributes, among other things, to reduced admissions. For those who wish, there may be an opportunity to rotate to the day care to get variation in the workday. We are also exploring and encouraging possibilities for rotation to our dialysis clinic at the University Hospital!

As we are a 24/7 operation, the position involves day, evening, and night shifts. If you are interested in working primarily night shifts, there is an opportunity for that as well.

Job Description

As a nurse in our care ward, you will have a central role in the care of patients and their various needs. Your tasks include, among other things:

• Assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care.
• Monitoring and treatment of patients with kidney failure, endocrine and rheumatic diseases, and other internal medical conditions.
• Provide support to patients and their relatives.
• Documentation of care and treatment according to current guidelines.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure good and cohesive care for our patients.
• Participate in the development and improvement of work processes on the ward.

Work Group

The ward currently has 12 care beds divided into two care teams. We are in a positive spiral and, in connection with the merger with endocrinology, now have the chance to expand with an additional care team to meet our patients' needs!

We have a multidisciplinary approach where we focus on the patient's entire life situation and strive to provide the best possible care in every situation. Here you work together with assistant nurses, doctors, dietitians, social workers, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists to provide the best possible care! About You

• We are looking for you who:
• Are a registered nurse.
• Have experience working in nephrology, rheumatology, or endocrinology. Even if you are newly graduated and have an interest in the area, you are welcome to apply.
• Have a genuine interest in working with patients with chronic diseases and complex needs.
• Have a positive attitude and a desire to develop both professionally and personally.
• It is meritorious if you have work experience from inpatient care.

We are looking for you who have good cooperation skills, are secure, stable, and have self-awareness. You work in a structured manner and adapt easily to changed circumstances.
