At Bräcke Care and Residential Home Hornstull, we are looking for a Lead Nurse (Omårdnadsansvarig) starting this autumn. Here we meet older people with dementia and work in teams with the starting point that every person should be the conductor of their own life. As an academic residential home, we also have a special focus on learning and development in daily work.

We are part of Bräcke Diakoni – a non-profit foundation working for a more humane society.

Your Role

As the Lead Nurse at Hornstull, you have overall responsibility for health and medical care and are part of the management group together with the operations manager and coordinator. In the management group, you contribute with the nurse's perspective on existing needs and how work can be developed in daily life. You monitor the residents' health, make assessments, and guide nursing staff in medical work.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for you who want to use your nursing competence in a context where teamwork, supervision, and learning are a natural part of everyday life. You enjoy being a support for others and have an easy time explaining, listening, and creating clarity. You are curious about how work can be improved and want to contribute to a non-profit operation where professional knowledge and humanity characterize the work.

Qualifications

  • Nursing license (Legitimation)
  • Experience in elderly care
  • Experience in supervision within nursing work
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
  • Experience in documentation and using digital tools in work

Merits

  • Advanced knowledge in dementia care, geriatrics, or palliative care
  • Experience in quality or improvement work

Bräcke Care and Residential Homes Stockholm

In the Stockholm area, Bräcke Diakoni operates four care and residential homes: Reimersholme, Hornstull, Villa Vesta, and Pilhamsgårdar. All have their unique character, but share the same focus: Getting to know the person behind the care needs and creating a daily life where every human being gets to be the main character in their life.

At Hornstull, you become part of a close team where your nursing competence has great significance. You receive an individual introduction plan with personal supervision and become part of an operation that wants to develop together. We work continuously with improvements, including in collaboration with Maria Cederschiöld University and other operations. Here there is room to contribute ideas and see the results of your efforts close to the residents.

Bräcke Diakoni – with us, you become part of something bigger

Bräcke Diakoni is a non-profit foundation that wants to contribute to a more humane society. Our mission is visible in the meeting with those we are here for, but also in how we take care of employees' knowledge and develop work based on the needs we meet. As an employee, you get to be involved and influence work close to the operations. With collective agreements, occupational pension, and insurances as a foundation, we work for a sustainable working environment where there is room for learning and development over time.
