About Stockholm Exergi
We are Stockholm's energy company. With resource-efficient solutions, we secure the growing Stockholm region's access to heat, electricity, cooling, and waste services. We heat over 800,000 Stockholmers, and our 300-kilometer district heating network is the hub for the societal benefits we create together with our customers and partners. We are owned by the City of Stockholm and Ankhiale, a consortium of leading European pension funds (APG, PGGM, Alecta, Keva, and AXA IM Alts), and have over 800 employees who work every day to reduce the climate impact on Stockholmers.
About our carbon capture facility
In Värtan, where our combined heat and power plant already produces sustainable electricity and heat from by-products such as wood chips, branches, and tops from the forest industry, we are now building a full-scale carbon capture facility to create even greater climate benefits.
Bio-CCS is a technology that captures biogenic carbon dioxide before it reaches the atmosphere, where it is then permanently stored in the bedrock, creating negative emissions because the carbon dioxide is removed from the biogenic cycle. Permanent negative emissions are the tool that can be used to counteract emissions that are difficult or impossible to eliminate. It is a necessary piece of the puzzle to reach climate goals and net-zero emissions. The facility will be able to capture up to 800,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year – more than what all of Stockholm's road traffic emits during the same period.
What can we offer you?
As a Port Coordinator with us, you are offered interesting and varied tasks within our port operations, technology, and maintenance. You will have the opportunity to continue developing in our environmentally focused and fast-growing organization, where employees with varying levels of experience together ensure that we are equipped for the energy challenges of the future. As part of a company striving to be a leader in the industry, you will be part of a cohesive and supportive team with engaged colleagues.
We see that you are responsible for the management and planning of fuel deliveries to our ports together with our maintenance engineers, where we handle both solid and liquid fuels. In your role, you will manage the daily control of fuel deliveries in the port and also ensure that port operations are run according to current laws and regulations. Together with your group, you will also be responsible for working towards set goals and contributing to the development of our facility by participating in business improvement teams.
The position is a temporary role based at Värtahamnen in Stockholm. Note that the position is of a higher security class, and you will need to undergo a security clearance prior to any employment.
Why work with me?
In our team, we work independently and are driven with a clear focus on delivery. We believe it is important that going to work is fun, and we have good cohesion within the group. Our operations contribute to a sustainable society while simultaneously meeting the city's and our residents' needs for heat and electricity. We take this responsibility and trust very seriously.
As a leader, I support my employees' development through delegated responsibility, stimulating tasks, and engaged interaction. For me, it is important that you are self-motivated, have the ability to solve problems, and enjoy getting things done.
