Purchaser for Ekerö Municipality
We have made our decision! We aim to become a leading municipality – and we have everything it takes to succeed. Short decision-making paths, collaboration across operational boundaries, and the desire to dare more. Our high ambitions give you, with your own drive, the opportunity to grow and create positive change for the citizens. As an employee in Ekerö Municipality, you will have a valuable role in our unique island world – and we look forward to your application.
The Procurement Unit is part of the Municipal Executive Office and is located in the town hall right next to Ekerö Centre. We are responsible for all of the municipality's procurements above the direct procurement threshold and also provide support to the municipality's operations in matters regarding call-offs and contracts. The unit currently consists of four employees: three purchasers and one procurement manager.
Job Description
We believe in you and your abilities – therefore, we give you significant scope in your role. Many who work with us appreciate the trust and responsibility they receive in our municipality, as it contributes to much learning and development in everyday life. To succeed, you are confident in yourself and your profession, and have the ability to both take initiative – and set boundaries.
In the role of purchaser, you ensure, in collaboration with your colleagues at the Procurement Unit, that the procurement work in Ekerö Municipality is carried out in a professional, business-like, and legally secure manner. Your tasks consist of planning, leading, and conducting procurements. The procurements will primarily be conducted for the Social Services Administration, the Municipal Executive Office, and the Child and Education Administration.
You will procure both services and goods, and the procurements may concern, for example, cleaning services, IT systems, consultancy services, or social services. The work is carried out both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues at the Procurement Unit and other operations within the municipality.
You will also provide support and advice in procurement, call-off, and contract matters, follow up on the municipality's contracts and purchases, and develop the work of the Procurement Unit. Many procurements are often ongoing simultaneously, which places demands on your ability to work quickly and efficiently while still maintaining quality in the work.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have an academic degree, for example in law, economics, or political science, or alternatively vocational training in procurement or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways, e.g., through experience in the procurement area, which we assess as equivalent.
Experience of having worked with procurement and having conducted procurements in the field is meritorious.
As a person, you are responsible and drive the procurement work forward, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues and the municipality's operations. You are analytical, self-initiating, and have a structured approach to work. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and value employees who wish to develop within their field.
The work presupposes that you have good knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU), good ability to communicate orally and in writing, and good computer skills.
Start date: According to agreement
Scope: Full-time
Employment type: Permanent
