Your daily work – contribute to Sweden's defense capability

The operations of the Eastern Technical Unit are carried out in the counties of Stockholm and Gotland. The unit is divided into two groups, northern and southern, to best serve the client. The 30 property engineers mainly execute assignments from the manager and are led directly by their respective group managers. An energy manager, two road, earthwork, and parking engineers, and a technical manager serve as expert support within the East region. As a property engineer, you are part of the Eastern Technical Unit, where, on behalf of the manager and using a project-oriented approach, you are responsible for planning, executing, and following up on maintenance measures and owner-related investment projects within the property portfolio.

A large part of the assignments lies within the building sector, but also in electricity, HVAC, and earthworks. As a property engineer, you also work with condition surveys, maintenance plans, and cost analyses within the framework of the management assignment. You will also participate in the procurement of various contractors, consultants, and subcontractors, as well as execute projects within budget. The work involves travel within Stockholm, but the work is primarily carried out in the southern parts of the region.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a post-secondary education at least at the university level with a direction relevant to the position, for example, in property, construction, technology, or other education that we assess as equivalent. You have professional experience from the property or construction industry, where you have likely had roles such as operations technician, property engineer, project engineer or similar, technical manager, or project manager with a focus on construction, infrastructure, or installation technology. You communicate and express yourself well both verbally and in writing in Swedish and have good knowledge of administrative IT support systems. A driver's license of at least class B is required.

It is meritorious if you have worked as a project manager for house construction and renovations or as an installation technician in electricity, and have knowledge of control and regulation technology in the installation phase. Good knowledge of LOU (Public Procurement Act), AB04/ABT06 – contract law, as well as BAS U and P is also considered meritorious.

As a property engineer at the Swedish Fortification Agency, we need you to be structured, result-oriented, handle stress constructively, and have a high level of security awareness. You easily create good relationships and act professionally in your daily work as you have good collaboration and communication skills.

About the employment

The position is a permanent employment, although a probationary period may apply. Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as positions at the Swedish Fortification Agency are security-classified.
