Stockholm – our capital city of millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.

The Property Office manages and develops a unique property portfolio that is vital for Stockholm's residents, businesses, and visitors. The portfolio ranges from well-known Stockholm buildings to public facilities for culture and sports, office buildings, fire stations, markets, palaces, farms, and cottages. We also manage nature and outdoor areas outside the city limits. We are located in the Technical Council House on Fleminggatan 4, approximately a 5-minute walk from the Central Station.

We are now looking for an experienced Project Manager who wants to become part of our team and take responsibility for some of our most unique security-classified facilities.

This is not just any project management job.

Here, you will have the opportunity to work with buildings and facilities that very few people ever get access to. You will become part of a context where your work makes a real difference and where you help create long-term value for Stockholm.

We warmly welcome your application!

Welcome to us

On the Project Department, we drive some of the city's most exciting construction projects. Here, technically advanced solutions, culturally and historically valuable buildings, and socially important properties meet in a daily routine that rarely looks the same from one week to the next.

We are convinced that successful projects are created by people who enjoy working together. Therefore, we value collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a flat hierarchy where we support each other and have fun at work. Here, you will meet engaged colleagues who are happy to share their experience, celebrate successes together, and help out when challenges arise.

We offer you

If you become our new colleague, we also offer benefits such as lunch allowance, wellness benefits, flexible working hours, and the possibility to exchange holiday day supplements for extra leave. Here, you have great freedom to plan your work.

Your role as Project Manager focusing on security-classified facilities

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for the planning and execution of construction projects from 5 million SEK and upwards, within our segment of security-classified facilities. The facilities vary, and you will work with, among other things, rock shelters and protective rooms, as well as other types of buildings that place high demands on security and protection.

The projects you will work on range from major new, conversion, and extension constructions to tenant adaptations, but may also involve technical upgrades and major maintenance measures on the facilities.

The tasks include independently leading, structuring, and driving construction projects from idea to finished result, primarily in a project management role. You handle all stages of the construction project – from identifying needs and analysis to design, procurement, production, final inspection, and handover to tenant and operations. During ongoing projects, you will coordinate and lead consultants and contractors, prepare project estimates, and tender documents. In the role, you maintain contact with your internal clients; customer and technical managers, as well as maintenance technicians. You will be delegated occupational health and safety responsibility for your construction projects.

We are looking for you who have:

  • a university or civil engineering degree with a focus on property, construction, or urban planning. Alternatively, you have acquired equivalent competence through relevant professional experience in the construction industry
  • current and multi-year experience of independently driving construction projects of various kinds larger than 30 million SEK
  • knowledge of technical systems in buildings
  • knowledge of current legislation relevant to the industry, such as building and occupational health and safety legislation, contract law, Public Procurement Act (LOU), and authority requirements
  • multi-year current experience of working with project budgeting/costing
  • good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Merits:

  • We consider it highly meritorious if you have previously worked with security-classified facilities

For this position, personal qualities are very important, and we will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

To succeed in the role of Project Manager within security-classified facilities, we believe you have a professional and trustworthy demeanor, and that you have a high level of security awareness.

You work in a structured and methodical way, with a good ability to plan, organize, and follow up on both your own and the project's deliverables. You understand the importance of keeping timeframes, budget, and quality, especially in projects with high security requirements and limited visibility.

We also see that you are an engaged and responsible leader who enjoys driving projects all the way from feasibility study to implementation and conclusion. You have a clear result focus and a desire to deliver sustainable and secure solutions – while never compromising on security.

You have strong collaboration skills and know that security-classified projects require close and trusting cooperation with both internal teams and external actors. You are communicative, flat-hierarchy, receptive, and solution-oriented, and have an easy time building long-term relationships in complex contexts.

Important information related to your application:

This position is placed in a security class, which means that a security clearance and register check will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act.

Other

In this recruitment process, you do not need to attach a cover letter; however, we want you to answer the questions you will be asked when you submit your application. Your answers to the questions will form the basis for the first selection. We ask that you answer the questions concretely and concisely and that there is a clear link between your answers and your CV.

We warmly welcome your application!
