We are now looking for a Foreman (specify title) within operations and maintenance for our establishment in Värmdö. The position is based at our establishment in Värmdö and involves varied and independent work with significant personal responsibility. Our primary activity is the operation and maintenance of roads for the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket), but we also perform work for municipalities, road associations, community associations, and other external customers.

The work includes both planned and emergency measures within areas such as winter road maintenance, drainage, gravel road maintenance, paving, green area maintenance, and traffic installations. The goal is for the foreman to independently plan, lead, follow up, and conclude works with a focus on safety, quality, economy, and customer satisfaction.

The role also includes on-call duties and readiness, primarily related to winter road maintenance and emergency situations.

Main responsibilities:

• Supervision of own staff and subcontractors
• Planning and coordination of daily production
• Development and follow-up of work preparations
• Economic follow-up, invoicing, and handling of documentation
• Daily follow-up, documentation, and reporting
• Ensuring that work is performed according to current regulations, agreements, and occupational health and safety requirements
• Interpreting and applying contracts, technical requirements, and orders
• Customer contact and handling of minor quotations and additional works

We are looking for a structured, responsible, and solution-oriented person who is clear in their communication and enjoys working closely with staff, customers, and subcontractors. The person must be able to prioritize, make decisions, and maintain control even when the workload is high.

To succeed in the role of Foreman, you need:

• Category B driver's license
• Good command of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good computer skills and ability to work in digital systems
• Ability to plan, structure, and follow up on multiple jobs in parallel
• Ability to develop and ensure work preparations before the execution of works
• Availability to participate in on-call and readiness organizations

Merits:

• Experience in supervision within construction, road operations, or contracting
• Experience with Trafikverket contracts or other public clients
• Experience in economic follow-up, invoicing, and quotation work
• Knowledge of AMA, AB/ABT, APV, and systematic occupational health and safety work
• Experience in winter road maintenance and readiness activities
• Vocational (YH), university, or other relevant education in construction and civil engineering
• Category C driver's license and YKB (Swedish Certificate for Drivers of Construction Equipment)
