Do you want to work with jewelry that carries life's most important moments? We are now looking for a gem setter/goldsmith for our engagement and wedding ring production in Östersund who shares our view on craftsmanship where precision, quality and professional pride are always in focus.

Your role with us

In the role of gem setter/goldsmith, you work with exclusive materials and carefully designed jewelry, where professional skill, a sense of detail and responsibility for the final result are crucial.

Responsibilities

  • Setting gemstones in various setting techniques, such as prong, bezel, pavé and channel settings
  • Manufacturing, adjusting and repairing jewelry in precious metals
  • Quality control, finishing and final processing
  • Collaboration with colleagues in production to ensure high and consistent quality

We see that you have

  • Documented experience as a gem setter and/or goldsmith
  • Very good sense of form, detail work and precision
  • Experience working with precious metals and gemstones
  • High accuracy, responsibility and professional pride
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team

Meritorious

  • Experience with CAD, for example Rhino or MatrixGold
  • Knowledge and experience of casting

About Schalins

Schalins has been manufacturing wedding and engagement rings since 1944 and is today proud to be one of the largest ring manufacturers in the Nordics. We have our goldsmith workshop in northern Sweden where our skilled craftsmen work with everything from design and alloying to gem setting, polishing and engraving. We are approx. 45 employees evenly distributed between women and men. Every ring that leaves our factory carries a story of Swedish craftsmanship, made with care in genuine metals and with carefully selected gemstones.
