Shark Recruitment is looking for a Transport Manager for a well-established, family-owned contracting company in the Mälardalen region, just outside Strängnäs. The company has been in operation for over 30 years, working with earthworks, transport, winter maintenance, and recycling for private individuals, businesses, and municipalities. A stable team with a modern fleet and short decision-making paths.

This is a temp-to-perm position – you start as a consultant with the goal of transitioning into permanent employment with the client.

The Role

As a Transport Manager, you are responsible for the daily planning and coordination of the vehicle fleet, consisting of nine trucks, as well as machinery transport linked to excavators and other contracting activities. This is not a pure transport role: you coordinate transports in close collaboration with ongoing earth and construction projects, requiring overview, flexibility, and quick reprioritization.

The role also has a clear sales dimension. You serve as a key contact point for customers, identifying needs, providing quick responses, and spotting business opportunities in the daily workflow.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan and lead the daily transport operations for nine trucks.
• Coordinate transports with excavation and construction projects as well as machinery relocation.
• Customer contact – receive orders, provide updates, and develop customer relationships.
• Work with a digital transport management system.
• Support drivers and colleagues, and jump in where needed.

Working Hours

Full-time, 5 days a week:

Monday–Thursday 06:30–16:30, Friday 06:30–13:00
