Do you like to be close to the action and find new solutions to various problems? Do you want the opportunity to develop within a company that is leading the transition to fossil-free steel? Then the role of Coordinator for Support & Service in Luleå might be for you.
Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the planet's future and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for our societal development and will remain so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities, and in tomorrow's cars. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries with the highest greenhouse gas emissions globally. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free steel production process and committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be vital in realizing this goal and thus contributing to a green transition of the entire steel industry.
About the role
Over the coming years, SSAB Luleå will transition its steel production – one of the largest industrial changes in modern times. This will entail new conditions and requirements across many different areas.
As a Coordinator, you will be part of the Support & Service section and become a key link between current operations and the transition project. You are a key person who makes things happen by solving practical tasks that require local knowledge of SSAB Luleå's working methods, routines, and contact channels.
This could involve, for example, supporting the establishment of contractors, ensuring signage and wayfinding work, and creating the right connections between different functions.
Your main responsibilities
- You are present where the action is and contribute to good communication and collaboration between production and the transition project
- You support operations by developing new or revising working methods and routines
- Depending on the type and scope of tasks, you carry them out yourself or order services from external or internal suppliers
- You contribute to a structured way of working within the section and ensure that daily operations run smoothly
About you
- You have a flexible mindset with the ability to quickly adapt to changed circumstances and can self-navigate in new areas. You are action-oriented and ensure that tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively
- You are an open, positive person and an attentive team player with a good ability to collaborate closely with others through dialogue
- You thrive being on-site close to operations – where the action is. The pace is fast, and the work involves close collaboration with many different functions, requiring structure, communication, and teamwork skills
- A valid driver's license (Category B) and good knowledge of the Office package are required
- As we work in an international environment, you must be able to speak and write both English and Swedish
- Previous experience from an industrial environment, coordination, or projects is an advantage
