We are looking for 1–2 employees for our cinema in Enköping. The work is located at Sagabiograferna, Ågatan 29. To work at the cinema, you should be technically minded as films are delivered digitally. You must be service-oriented and good at mental arithmetic, which is needed in certain situations at the cash register. Do not underestimate this requirement. You must be able to serve customers quickly as many visitors may arrive in a short period. You must therefore be able to handle long queues and the stress associated with them, both mentally and physically.

It is important that you take initiative and can work independently. Cash register experience is an advantage but not a requirement. Living near the cinema is a plus. Since the cinema has relatively few employees, it is important to be flexible and able to step in with short notice, e.g., in case of illness.

The position, which starts immediately after a short introduction, involves managing the technical execution of film screenings, as well as cash register duties and cleaning before, during, and after screenings. Further training is provided gradually. The role also includes handling and preparing upcoming films delivered digitally via various servers. The cinema is fully computerized regarding both projection and ticketing systems.

The work is primarily scheduled for evenings and weekends. During major premieres, screenings may be expanded, as well as during school holidays when the number of screenings increases significantly during both day and evening hours.

We also show films on some weekdays during the day, for example for pensioners and schools, so experience working on weekdays during the day is highly valued. As a cinema employee, you have significant responsibility for cleanliness. While films are playing, there is continuous cleaning work in common areas, the machine room, and the cash register area. You also replenish drinks and snacks in the kiosk when films start and all auditoriums are open. Cleaning of the auditoriums takes place between screenings. You are responsible for ensuring the cinema is clean, tidy, and well-maintained. The work is therefore also physically demanding.

Several people work at the cinema, and a work schedule is created.

The position should be considered a part-time or extra job in terms of hours.

The minimum age to work at the cinema is 18, but we prefer candidates who are older or significantly older. Pensioners are also welcome to apply for this pleasant extra job.
