Are you a licensed district nurse or nurse with an interest in municipal home care? Then this might be the job for you!
The Unit for Licensed Personnel in Brunflo is now looking for a new colleague on a full-time basis, starting October 1st. The position is full-time with working hours Monday-Friday 08:00-17:00, plus every 10th weekend and public holidays. When working weekends, you share the district nurse responsibility with three colleagues within the municipality.
Your new job
Your daily work is based at the unit located in central Brunflo, where you will have your own office room in nice and pleasant premises. In the same building are located managers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and the home care group, which promotes collaboration and collegial support.
The municipality's district nurses have professional development meetings twice per semester. The purpose of these meetings is competence development and knowledge exchange. Each meeting has a specific focus area determined by the group's needs or wishes. As a district nurse in home care, we take turns participating in various courses, such as Palliative Day, Primary Care Days, and Medication Meetings.
If you are confident in yourself and enjoy working independently but in close team collaboration with colleagues and care personnel in home care, this is the role for you.
Common tasks
As a nurse/district nurse with us, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment and nursing interventions. The work is performed in collaboration with care personnel in home care, your nurse and district nurse colleagues, as well as personnel at the health center and in regional specialist care. Other common tasks include wound care, palliative care, supervision and training of home care personnel, and delegation of tasks. You document and update patient journals continuously in our operational system.
