Job Responsibilities

The Rehabilitation Department Medicine in Västerås belongs to the Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic, which is part of the Health and Medical Care Administration, area Psychiatry, Medicine, and Primary Care. We operate in both outpatient and inpatient care with investigative and rehabilitative efforts within the Medicine Clinic, Geriatric Clinic, and Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic in Västerås. Examples of patient groups in our area include heart and lung patients, patients with spinal cord injuries, and patients who have suffered from stroke or other brain injuries; from acute injury to rehabilitation in hospitals, outpatient care, and at home.

About the Workplace

We are a large work group with approximately 45 employed occupational therapists and physiotherapists, but the department also includes counselors, speech therapists, and psychologists. We are a pleasant workplace with a good social climate and camaraderie. Collaboration is highly valued, and we often work in teams around the patient. As an employee here, there is closeness to colleagues where there is always someone to ask and a large network that enables a good exchange of knowledge and experience.

As a new employee here, you are offered a professional mentor regardless of your level of experience, and the conditions for competence development are good. We want to enable educational efforts and that one can observe and try out different tasks to gain breadth in competence. Our department also regularly receives students within our professional areas and receives good reviews from them.

Qualifications

You who apply are a licensed physiotherapist or at the end of your education. It is an advantage if you have previous professional experience relevant to the assignment, but even more important to us are your personal qualities, your drive for the position, and interest in contributing to the development of the operations. Since you will have a lot of patient contact, you need to be able to communicate and make yourself understood in Swedish, both orally and in writing, without problems. Home visits may occasionally occur in the position, so it is meritorious if you have a B-driver's license.

In a work context, you are driven and can work both independently and in collaboration with others. Employment Terms

Permanent full-time position, daytime hours. Start date as soon as possible or according to agreement.
