Organization Description

As a casual worker in the Social Services Administration, you work the hours that the organization needs when permanent staff are absent. Interventions are provided around the clock, every day of the year, to people who need support in their daily lives. The Social Services Administration operates within:

  • Home Care – Home Help Service.
  • Healthcare and Social Care – Elderly Care.
  • Disability Support – Disability and Psychiatry.

Job Responsibilities

You work according to the user's implementation plan. The tasks are varied, and you must always provide good care and support based on the individual's needs.

Many of our workplaces require staff to have medication delegation. You will receive training for this, which is both practical and digital.

You are required to document in the user's journal according to the Social Services Act.

You use the Time Care Pool system, where you manage your own availability for work and receive requests accordingly.

Qualifications

You should be genuinely interested in working with people. You must have the ability to provide a professional attitude characterized by empathy and respect for the user. As a casual worker, it is important that you are flexible, responsible, and reliable for both users and permanent staff. We value good teamwork skills and positive drive.

We are primarily looking for you with education in healthcare and social care or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Or you who have experience in support, service, healthcare, and social care. You must be at least 18 years old. To handle the job, sufficient knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing is required, as well as good digital competence.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

Under the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is meritorious when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

Requirements

  • Production of a valid license/certification is mandatory.
  • Valid work and residence permit if you are not an EU citizen.
  • Category B driver's license for home help service, rural areas, and certain activities within disability support.
  • Production of a police certificate (background check) for work within the Disability Support Department.
  • To hold the title of assistant nurse, you must provide a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare that you are a licensed assistant nurse.
  • Attach grades and employment certificates if you have previous experience from healthcare.
  • Provide 2 references, preferably from a previous manager or supervisor.

Working Hours/Duration

Intermittent employment.

Availability for at least two days a week is desirable.

There is also the possibility of longer temporary assignments on the schedule.

Salary

Hourly wage, we apply individual salary setting according to agreement.
